I am hoping someone out there can help resolve a problem I have regarding the use of iCloud Drive on my elderly Imac running OSX 10.6.8. I have been accessing my iCloud Drive via Finder quite happily for nearly a yr, but a few days ago the hard drive went pop and I had to have a new drive and OSX installed. Since then I cannot discover a way of getting iCould Drive inserted into the finder'due south Sidebar. I know that 10.6.eight is not supposed to be uniform, only equally I was able to go it working last time (I can't retrieve but presumably after finding a solution on the web) I cannot understand why, after hours of searching this time, I tin find no information at all on how to practice it.

Beginning, thanks to all who have responded. It's reassuring to know that there is and then much speedy aid out there.

I did not run backups, do I suppose I deserve all I got. (I have set Time Machine running now - endmost the stable door etc., but information technology should cease whatsoever more horses bolting.)

I've tried the link provided by one of the responders merely no luck I'thousand afraid - I had been there before and non found the answer.

I tin access iCloud Drive easily through a browser, and that is skillful, only having to download for editing, so remembering to upload the edited version after ditching/renaming the original, is a bit of a pain - which of course I don't have to endure when using my Windows machines. I practice not demand to synchronise with iCloud, I only need to be able to open and piece of work with files directly from the iCloud Bulldoze, only similar any other drive. What really bugs me is that I cannot find any instructions on the web for getting the iCloud Drive to testify in Finder, knowing that I take done it once successfully in the not too distant past.
